Stylo

The English virtual band Gorillaz has a new album on  the way, their third to date. The new album, Plastic Beach, has been 5 year’s in the making since 2005’s Demon Days which sold over 8million copies.

The video for the first single, Stylo, was released over night. I love the animation they do in their videos, so it worth watching just for that, also there is a Bruce Willis cameo – HARDCORE.

Imma Be Rockin That Body

The Black Eyed Peas are currently experiencing the sort of success that newcomers could only dream of.

The  group has always been popular, selling millions of records in their long career. But this foursome is taking the next step in their career, asserting themselves as artists who can have 5, No.1’s off just one album and sell in excess of 20Million copies of just one of those singles. Predictions say that the group have sold more than 35Million singles off this latest album, The E.N.D.

With those sorts of figures, it’s not such a shock when you see they have spent a pretty penny on their new Music Video. The Pea’s have two new singles, one for the US, Imma Be, and another for the rest of the world, Rock That Body.

Instead of making two separate Music videos for the singles, someone made the decision to mix the two together.

Both the songs cross-over each other in a futuristic, effect laden, Mini Movie. This MV which runs at over 10min seems to be the vision of a little boys fantasy. It’s not the most amazing video ever, but it gets a pass.

This is the first and only track I am posting from Rihanna’s latest album, which came out last year. The main reason is, I was really disappointed with the managment of the record and didn’t think it deserved promotion.

But all of a sudden someone in Rihanna’s camp decided to actually put some effort into promotion and release a song which has potential to be played on radio.

The new single is called Rude Boy and the video has just been released, very reminiscent of M.I.A.

I am all for giving credit, where credit is due.

The last person on the planet I thought I would be giving credit to is Ms.INEEDASHOWER, Ms.I’MCOOLBECAUSEIPUTADOLLARSIGNINMYNAME, Ke$ha.

Everyone knows I’m not a fan, but her new promo singe Blah Blah Blah deserves some recognition. Not so much for Kesha but for the producers, Benny Blanco and Dr.Luke. Both are known for making hit pop songs for the likes of Britney, Katy Perry and so on.

Once again Blah Blah Blah is a fantastically put together pop song, if Kesha wasn’t singing it, it might be ok.

I Mean, Really!!!!

US Pop artist Ke$ha, pronounced Keh-Sha, has undoubtably got the biggest song in the world at the moment, but the problem is, she sucks!

Off the top of my head the main reasons-

1) She has an annoying song
2) She has a $ in her name! Stoopid
3) She looks like she’s in desperate need of a shower at all times
4) And there is just a lack of authenticity that we don’t connect with

And The Main problem, quote ” And now the dudes are lining up cause they here we got swagger, But we kick them to the curb unless they look like Mick Jagger” WRONG!

The Song Tik Tok has spent five weeks at No.1 in Australia and has held the top spot on most worldwide charts.

Readers will know that I like Pop music and I will go there with most stuff, but this song in particular is just not even that good!

Ke$ha the crazy train has already been taken by Lady Gaga and there is no room for you.

Just over two weeks ago we posted a track called 3 Words by british pop star Cheryl Cole.

This track is a real departure for Cheryl and what she is known for. Not the sort of song I would expect from someone from reality TV.

The main reason it’s so good is because the song was written and produced by Will.i.am.

Just this morning the music video for 3 Words was released. The video was directed by Vincent Haycock and is an interesting mix of interpretive dance and cinematography. Check it out below.

Morning After Dark

Timbaland- Morning After Dark (ft. SoShy) (single)

Hasn’t the whole Vampire thing gone far enough??????

Unfortunately not yet. I am all for vampires, but why does everyone have to do a vampire concept for their music just because there are some popular films around at the moment??? really people!!!!

The latest culprit is Timbaland. His new album is expected to be released early next year and the video for the first single, Morning After Dark has been released to coincide with the new track.

The song features Timbaland’s new artist Soshy, who seems to be a french/american version of Amy Winehouse, working with Tim she has potential to do something interesting.

The track is not to bad and is typical Timbo, but the video or short film is just stupid.

Timbo- Try Harder!
