UK Songstress Kate Nash has spent the last 12months writing a new record for our listening pleasure and I am very happy to say it’s not far off.
Expected to be released mid April, My Best Friend Is You is the follow up to Kate’s critically acclaimed debut Made Of Bricks. The First taste we get from the new record is the single titled Do Wah Doo, a up-beat poppy track that takes on much more of Kate’s live sound.
It’s not the best song Kate has made, but I’m still excited to see what the full album can deliver. In the mean time check out the video for Do Wah Doo Below!

I know, I know. I am posting a song from Natalie Bassingthwaigthe, don’t worry I haven’t gone round the bend.
For the same-sex law reform campaign, Wear It With Pride, Nat recently teamed up with the LGBT Health Alliance to celebrate the 85 new same-sex law reforms.
They made a video, filled with celebrity cameos to her track Love Like This. It’s camp as all get up, but thats the point.
Some of the arrangements in the song are also quite good, its one of Nat’s better ones.

SNSD or Girls Generation are the epitome of K-Pop.
Bouncy songs and amazing choreography. The highest selling single in the last ten years. When they release a new song, the internet severs in Korea crash. Etc.
SNSD has set the level high and everyone was expecting something big from their return this month with their second album.
Oh! is the new single. While it is not bad, it isn’t their best work. These kind of ‘extreme cheese’ songs like oh!, are what gives K-Pop a bad name.
It’s still catchy and everyone will still have the panties in a twist over these girls, but we are waiting for the full album to be released before we pass final judgement.

Whose ‘Lollipop’ is better?
Korea or China?
2NE1 or F(x)?
These are the tough questions we shall conquer as we dive into the world of Manda/K Pop.
I warn you won’t get through this post without getting’ Lolli-Lolli-Lollipop’ stuck in your head.
Almost a year ago electronics company LG launched a new ad campaign in Korea for their new phone the ‘lollipop’. The campaign featured super groups 2NE1 and Big Bang, which was very successful.
After this success LG has decided to do the same again in China. This time around, the song features Korea-China crossover group F(x) and Chinese boy band M.I.C.
Both the songs are titled Lollipop, the film clips are very similar and the song is somewhat similar to, so who does it better?

I would call myself someone who likes pop, but I’ve never really ever liked euro pop, it has a lot more misses than hits.
I am not about to change my tune just yet, but I shall make a very rare exception. Danish pop group Alphabeat’s latest single Hole In My Heart from their new album The Spell, gets just a pass.
I actually like the song up until the female vocalist comes in and its not because of her I don’t like it, it’s the 90’s euro sounding synth that makes me want to puke.
All in all I can keep my food down.

There is no doubt that a lot of the readers on this site come here for one thing and no, its not for what you might think.
K-Pop or Korean Pop Music is a guilty pleasure of mine and our opinion and content from the K-Pop world counts for a large Chunk of what you readers like.
Since it has been such a big year for K-Pop on this site, I thought we should look back to where it all started.
With comparisons to Kylie Minogue and Madonna, Uhm Jung Hwa is certainly one of the biggest stars in Korea and has kept it that way for almost 15 years.
She was the one who popped our K-Pop cherry, with her hit D.I.S.C.O. Released about 1 and a half years ago D.I.S.C.O. caught our attention by fluke whilst looking for a video on youtube.
We thought it was hilarious and bad at the same time as thinking it was genius!
Especially the bit with the rapper who likes espresso.
Since then we have immersed ourselves into the K-Pop world, learning about the industry, the artists and even picking up a little of the language. Through this we bring you only the highest quality new k-Pop.
And The Rest is all history. There will be lots more K-Pop in 2010 so stay tuned and check out the song that started our obsession, below.

I am a total sucker for anything with Disco in the title. Whether the song is going to be shit or not, you know its going to be genius.
Only since getting a hold of Lady Gaga’s new album The Fame Monster, have I come across a bonus track included on her album titled Disco Heaven.
The song lives up to the title with 3min and 42sec of Disco, Heaven. Check out some disco with a Gaga twist below!

After taking a break in between albums the Rogue Traders have replaced former lead singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte with new comer Mindi Jackson.
A new album is expected early next year, the first single of which is called Love Is A War.
True to their Electro Rock/Pop sound the Rogue traders might just be able to make a successful comeback this new track and image.
We will just have to wait and see. Check out Love Is A War below.
